Your collection. Your data. Your call.

The short version, in plain language. It says what we hold, what we encrypt, and what we will never do with it.

What’s encrypted

Everything you send us and everything we store on your behalf is encrypted. Specifically:

In transit. Every connection between your device and MyValue runs over HTTPS. There is no unencrypted path into the service.
At rest. Your collection — the items you add, their purchase prices, cost basis, quantities, notes, photos, and the value history we build from them — is encrypted on our servers and in our backups.
Your account. Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes. We cannot read your password, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.

We do not sell your data, and we do not rent, trade, or license it. There is no advertising business behind MyValue that your collection feeds. Concretely, we never share:

Your collection or its value — not with marketplaces, not with insurers, not with brokers, dealers, or data brokers, and not with other MyValue members.
Your identity — your name, email, or account details are never passed to advertisers or sold to third parties.
Anything to the marketplaces we price against. Pricing data flows one way. We read public sold prices from StockX, GOAT, and eBay; we never send them your holdings.

Your portfolio is private by default. It becomes visible to someone else only when you deliberately share it, and you can revoke that at any time.

What we do collect

What you enter — the items in your collection and the details you choose to record about them.
Your account details — your email address, and your billing status if you subscribe to Plus.
Basic service data — the logs and diagnostics needed to keep MyValue running, secure, and correct.

Service providers

Running MyValue means using a small number of vendors — hosting, error monitoring, email delivery, and payment processing. They may process data strictly to provide that service to us, under contract, and may not use it for anything else. We never hand your collection to a vendor that doesn’t need it. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor; MyValue never stores your card number.

Your controls

Export. Your collection is yours — take a copy whenever you want.
Delete. Delete your account and we delete your collection, including from backups on their normal rotation.

MyValue provides market value estimates based on live sold data from third-party marketplaces. Values are informational and do not constitute appraisals, financial advice, or offers to buy.
